All you need to know about Brow tattooing.

 

How does it all work?

Both services, microblading and powder brows are a form of brow tattooing and have a lot in common, but there are differences. Skin type plays a large role for candidates considering microblading and powdered brows, as well as the look you’re trying to achieve.

Microblading uses a hand tool to create realistic looking hair strokes in the browline. Powdered brows help clients achieve more of a powdered, ombre or soft make-up look instead of individual hair strokes. . Both brow styles can be adjusted to look soft or intense depending on your style and desired look.

Who does it work for?

Anyone! if filling in your brows is a crucial part of your beauty routine, you might want to look into Microblading or Powder brows.

How long does it last?

The pigments are designed to slowly fade over time, so it’s a personal preference when to come in for maintenance once the color starts to lose concentration. Some people fade a little bit and they want more; others let it almost all fade out before they come back. It is up to you when you want to come in for a touch up.

Microblading

During the microblading process, pigment is applied into the epidermal layer of the skin with a hand held tool. Individual hair strokes are created to mimics realistic hair-like strokes, which are designed to flow like a natural eyebrow.

The microblading works great for clients:

  • fill in gaps in the brow line or

  • create brows where hair has been lost.

    For clients with oily skin, microblading strokes may fade faster, need more touchups or expand a little. If you have oily skin, we recommend powdered brows or a combination brow.

Powered/Machine Brows

Powdered brows can be done with a machine or hand tool in order to create an ombre look instead of individual hair strokes. The soft makeup look means that the tails of the brows are darker and fade to a lighter at the start of the brows, giving them a subtle look.

  • mature skin,

  • wanting a soft makeup look

  • have hair, but fill in with makeup

    If you have thinner brows, we can add in hair strokes after for additional texture.

Combination Brows

You can always do both, combination brows! By using the Microblading strokes to create a natural individual hair look, with the powder brow technique to add the soft shading through the rest of the brow. this will give it a full look that retains a beautiful shape every day.

  • Before

    The skin must be free of all irritations including ingrown hairs, blemishes, eczema, and psoriasis.

    • NO alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before procedure

    • Avoid tanning on your face two weeks prior to procedure.

    • Discontinue Retinol Products, Chemical and Laser Peels, microdermabrasion, Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA), and any chemical exfoliant or "brightening"

    • Botox and filler on the forehead, temple, and eye area should be avoided before your appointment.

    • No Antibiotic

    • No brow waxing, tinting, or threading

    Please Note: You will be more sensitive to pain during your menstrual cycle.

  • After

    For the first 24 hours your brows will be “sweating”. Using a clean tissue or gauze, gently blot your brows to remove the excess plasma every hour.

    After 24 hours, keep the the brow area clean by using a fragrance-free anti bacterial cleanser Hands must be freshly clean. Avoid use of abrasive washcloths or sponges.

    Allow eyebrows to completely dry before applying ointment (pay dry with a tissue then air dry for 2 minutes).

    Once fully dry, apply a thin layer of provided ointment suggested

    AVOID

    • Avoid rub pick or scratch the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off.

    • Avoid direct sun exposure or use tanning beds after your procedure. Direct sunlight can cause the pigment to change color while it is healing and can also cause hyper pigmentation and scarring.

    • Avoid pools, sauna, steam rooms, hot showers and/or hot baths .

    • Avoid sweating on your face for 7-10 days. Sweating through or on the brows will expel pigment from the dermis producing poor results.

    • Avoid sleeping on your face/brows .

    • Avoid bangs and hair pulled back from your face

    • makeup or skincare products to be used on the treated area
